Pen Pals Overview and Signing Up 2012-13

Grade 1-8 Teachers: Registration Period September 1, 2012 - October 19, 2012. First come, first served.
The GLEC Enrichment Partnership has coordinated pen pal exchanges between schools in the Greater Lawrence Educational Collaborative since 1985. Teachers, we want to help you improve the writing skills of your students while helping to foster friendship and understanding between these diverse communities.
Our role is to help you find another class for your students to write and to provide encouragement for your kids to keep writing. The match is done on a classroom-to-classroom basis.
The commitment is for your students to write at least four letters to your pen pals during the school year. The exchange is open to teachers, grades 1-8, in Andover, Lawrence and Methuen.
